Ok…i was totally into Dracula and as a result had and still has a crush on Christopher Lee. I would totally reccommend his biography, “Lord of Misrule”.

Why the Wolf man? I adore wolves. (the man part? eh, most days, I could live without.)I guess it’s just the wild, primative instincts combined with humanity.

No question! Frankenstein’s monster!

I can't believe The Phantom made the list but the Creature from the Black Lagoon did not. I voted The Mummy because Boris Karloff was incredible as The Mummy.

Dracula is probably the most popular because he is the sexiest! What girl could resist a well groomed gentleman in a tux with a cape!? I know that is the Hollywood version, but one I prefer. I would trade a little transfusion for immortality and a guy with "special powers"!

While I certainly treasure a fondness for Dracula, I'm quite taken with two other fiends who actually rival the old count in monstrosity:

Asami from Miike's film Audition (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yhsrsWcEspc – oh, she's the reason the word "monster" was invented)and the Norris Clone from Carpenter's The Thing (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TevQS4qgE_Q – it just won't die…)

Out of those choices, I picked the Wolfman. I guess because the concept of were's of any sort completely fascinate me. One minute you are human, and the next, you are a vicious creature with a little bit of humanity trying to come through, or at least you can hope.

If I had to pick out of other movie characters: zombie in general scare me. But I would think Pumpkinhead was the best for me and his design was soooo pretty. The movies weren't great, but the story of a tortured boy into a revenge demon is creepy as hell. And any movie that casts Lance Henriksen that calls upon a demon is fine by me….

It's a tie between Creature From The Black Lagoon and Godzilla. I really should have been raised in the '50s ^_^

That's a tough one. There are just too many versions of the Dracula and Frankenstein Monster type monsters. So I guess my favorite 'static' monster would have to be Freddy Krueger. Why? His look is awesome and they dream manifestation is creepy. The way he does his victims in is also a reason to love him, he is creative!
