For years I have relied almost solely on one reference book in my shop The Pocket Ref by Thomas J. Glover. Now in its 3rd edition it is probably the most used reference book I have in my shop library. It is a cornucopia of information. It includes such things as: Resistor Color [...] I always need a flashlight, I lose my small 2 cell mag light, its too small. This might fit the bill perfectly. A few times a week a inevitably knock something behind my bench or under it and need a flashlight. But there are a few things I constantly use, everyday, and if I don’t have them or lose them amid the mess I go nuts until I find them. I don’t just work in clay [...] Most of the time when I start something I have no idea how it is going to progress. I always make a head first.
