Props of the past – Teeth

by Grim on 2009/08/27

This was made in March 2006. Entirely paper towel mache with a small amount of build up. I have a local source for broken acrylic fingernails they make fun teeth sometimes. I really like theĀ  bold textures you can get with paper toweling at times, almost like a rough weave linen. Seems I have a thing for big grinny mouths.

IDEA: Go to a podiatrist office and ask for all the discarded old ingrown toenails to use as teeth to give a real authentic look. Whoa, pump the brakes; did I just cross the line? I have to refrain from typing everything that comes to mind.

I love using paper towels with mache. Great using of the acrylic nails!

You have to showcase Dolly, I've always been partial to her.

I will do that some day. Do you want progress pics of her head?

Here is an old post with some Dolly pics
