Beginnings Frankensteins Monster

by Grim on 2009/09/13

I usually don’t like to sculpt classic monsters. Everyone has a idea about what they should look like, and you can’t please everyone. But I have decided to sculpt my version of Frankenstein’s monster.

I started on the under structure last week, all foam and celluclay, I started on the airdry clay this morning. A long was to go still.

It seems all your pieces use deodorant roll-on balls for eyes. Do you have a source or do you just use a lot of deodorant?

This will be one to watch. I am curious how you have reconciled the stereotypes on what a Frankenstein “should” look like into what your version is going to be. You did such a great job with Nosferatu…Frankenstein is sure to be another fantastic piece.
