    I am self taught. I never went to art school. I have had the benefit of meeting some really helpful people online and in person who have shared information with me when I needed it. A few of them offered some really helpful critique of my work, and have pushed me to refine my skills. My shop is full of dead ideas and aborted plans (I should post some of those pics).

    Working within a defined color scheme of colors that work well together.

    Painting in many layers. In the picture above you are looking at 5 layers of acrylic ink, and 1 layer of acrylic paint wash.
